The holiday courses, initially scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025, finally began on Monday, August 18, and ended on Friday, September 19, 2025. These courses were taught by two other teachers and myself for three different grade levels: groups 4, 5, and 6. I taught group 6.

Fifty-two children participated in this initiative, which began in 2023. Among them, thirteen of the sponsored children also participated.

Preparations for the start of the school year began on Saturday, September 27th, with the purchase of school supplies and the making of school uniforms for only fifteen children. The other eight received only packs of notebooks and pens.

The school year officially began on Monday, October 6th, throughout Guinea.

To date, all children are enrolled in their respective classes at the partner school, Groupe Scolaire Yaf-Sales.

The postponement of the Christmas project due to security concerns was very regrettable. However, after consulting with parents and guardians, we have decided to hold it on April 11, 2026. This will take place during the Easter holidays.

This year, we are organizing a football tournament from April 4 to 19, and we will conclude the school year with a grand dinner for the sponsored children and the children of the Kenendé Evangelical Protestant Church on Saturday, June 28, 2026.

We thank the Lord for His grace during the year 2025. No major incidents occurred, no serious illnesses were reported, and, most importantly, no academic failures were experienced by any of the thirty-four children sponsored by Stichting DOHG and the Executive Office in Guinea.

We take this opportunity to thank, on behalf of the members of the Executive Board in Guinea, the sponsored children, their parents and guardians, as well as the local and relevant authorities, sponsors, partners, friends, and all people of goodwill for your moral and financial support in improving the lives of disadvantaged children in Guinea through education and the Gospel. We are deeply grateful. Throughout these nine years of sponsorship, you have brought joy to the lives of these children, and we firmly believe that all of this will not be in vain.

May 2026 be a fruitful year for the development, implementation, and realization of new projects that can promote and enhance the objectives of our foundation.
